Concept test - a type of study, where only a product's or service's description is tested.
This description - the so-called  concept - usually gives practical information about the use/intended use of a product, as well as emotional benefits, which are to generate consumer interest and liking.
Concept Tests are usually employed when there is no opportunity to test the actual product/service (for whatever reason).
Concept tests are popular for OTC drugs, financial services, telecomm and Tele-IT products.
