The power generation and fuels sector is characterised by dynamic change. As a result, when cooperating with clients in this sector comprehension of how it works and experience in projects related to the power generation and fuels market is essential. Knowledge and experience provide the grounds for designing the optimum project, conducting it efficiently, and drawing the right conclusions from the results obtained.
The retail market for fuels in Poland is well-developed and highly competitive. As a result one comes across the following classic marketing problems when investigating it:
-
Awareness and image of brands of petrol stations. Through years of observation of this market, we have been able to observe the appearance and disappearance of brands, making it possible to compare results obtained in a single study to the history of this markets evolution.
-
-
Station choice factors. Location, price, and trust in petrol stations, coupled with know-how, mean that we can take account of the context of customer accessibility to specific station brands, interpret declarations regarding prices, or establish and quantify factors determining trust.
-
Expectations towards supplementary facilities and forms of behaviour related to the use of petrol stations. We monitor customers attitudes and expectations related e.g. to petrol station shops.
-
The Pentor Institute also has experience in studies covering the wholesale market of liquid fuels. We know which entities have the key roles in this market, how to get through to them, and what kind of information we can obtain.
The deregulation of the electricity market opened up another area of market research for us. Article 3 of the European Parliament Directive 2003/54/EC says: "Member States shall ensure (...) that (...) electricity undertakings are operated in accordance with the principles of this Directive with a view to achieving a competitive, secure and environmentally sustainable market in electricity, and shall not discriminate between these undertakings as regards either rights or obligations. With this in mind a few Power Generation Plants commissioned us to conduct a set of comprehensive studies covering the expectations and preferences of individual and corporate clients.
Energy is not only electrical current. We are also experienced in projects relating to urban heat distribution, which, in the context of privatisation of such providers and possible projects related to this process, will be useful. We have conducted studies into the market of home gas containers, the market of heating installations, and have estimated the potential for growth in automatic heating. |
