At the beginning of April there was a definite improvement of consumer feelings in Poland. PENKON (index of consumer climate) was increased by 8,1 point up to the level of 13,7 points. The index of households optimism (OGD) and perception of countrys economic situation (PESK) increased by 7,9 points and 8,3 points.
 
 

In April, people with a negative attitude towards current economic situation of Poland (pesimists, resigned, frustrated) were 25,2% of society. 74,9% of Poles on the other hand perceive current economic situation of Poland positively (optimists, hard optimists, satisfied).

23% of interviewed Poles (4% less than in previous month) perceive negatively current economic situation of Poland. 28% of respondents assess this situation positively. 49% do not have a unambiguous opinion in this matter.
 
This survey was conducted on 3rd-8th April 2008 on a 1000 Poles representative sample. Maximum statistical error for a sample of this size is +/- 3,1%, with credibility estimated at 95%.
